Saving small lives in the Big Apple.
Cats of Meow York's main goal is to reduce NYC’s stray cat population through Trap Neuter Return Monitor (TNRM) efforts and the rescue adoption process. We also rehabilitate homeless, abandoned, and injured cats.
We are working on introducing, advocating for, and helping to implement legislation that will provide low-cost vetting services to the local community in the near future as well.
We are Cats of Meow York (COMY): a Trap-Neuter-Return-Monitor based cat rescue with 501(c)(3) status in Woodhaven, New York!
Initially founded in 2017 as The Crazy Cat Family, our rescue was re-branded in 2022 as COMY! In addition to massively practicing TNRM, we specialize in neonatal kitten care. Run fully by community members and volunteers, Cats of Meow York relies solely on donations and fundraising to complete daily operations. All funding goes towards food, litter, toys, medication, vet visits, and other needs for the cats at our holding space and across foster homes.
